just layouts

Gallery 2 is now up at MFM. Layouts done using the Sep kit - Scenic Route, 7G, Love Elsie and Basic Grey Mellow products. Really yummy products! I still have a lot of the labels in teal which I absolutely love.

So I don't have a proper scraproom, I work at my dining table all the time - scrapbooking + sewing crafts (where my sewing machine is too) I hate it that I sb and craft messy! Someone pls tell me how to be more organized, or are you like me too? :p

Love cuppies, esp minis (great for the kids!) Who can resist BM's (the owner of a local parenting mb) cuppies. Pic shown is one of her beautiful creation.

I have received my copy of Somerest Memories mag with my article in print about 2 weeks ago. I must say I'm very pleased with it, so much better irl. There are so much eye candy work from other talented artists too.

Yesterday was mid autumn festive. As usual, we joined our neighbourhood (a yearly celebration organised by our RC members) for some lanterns lighting up and mooncakes deli. It was fun! I'm enjoying the icecream mooncakes from Swensens! Left some choco fudge for the hub who is touching down anytime soon from his biz trip, yay! I will share some pics when I'm up to. Right, I'm exhausted after spending the week with the girls all by myself + finishing up my DT assignments, sewing crafts. And our big missy is down with a really BAD cough, even worse at night! :(

what I have been busy with

Finally, we're ready to ship our swap package, long due lol!. This is what happens when one is a shopaholic with a never ending shopping list. But, we'll be a better swap partner for our next swap! And I spent sometime doing gift wrap of the stuffs going all the way to NYC! Love the brown paper with string!


Update on my patchwork cosy covers from last week. Did these for MFM since idea gallery 2 has been pushed back. Supplies are from Sept kit - it's all about home, so warm and fuzzy! I absolutely love these - the scenic route circle chipboards & 7g wordies. They are such cool combi. The fall season is making me lovin' all the trees and pines. Etsy has lots of great inspirations on those. I was inspired by the dandelion prints and I really like the idea of a little story telling for my cosy notebooks hehe.

Besides working with linen, I love corduroy too! Its texture is almost similar to Bazzill cardstocks and it feels like you're scrapping on an actual layout.

Look what just arrived yesterday night - my Sept DT kit from My Favorite Memories!!! I was swooning with joy when I opened up the package – this has got to be the best kit ever, packed with gorgeous yummy goodies! My favorite brands and products - mix of American Crafts, Scenic Route, Basic Grey, Love Elsie Abby+Jack, some felt, vinyl alphas, 7G stickers, chipboards and labels!! Thanks to S for putting up this wonderful kit and the extra add-ons! Be sure to check out the rest of the DT work. PLUS we have 2 guest designers for this month! I will be busy scrapping tonight, can’t wait to start!

We had a great time pigging out at the Hanabi Restaurant for our wedding anniversary dinner. This is a typical Japanese restaurant sake bar and they serve ala carte buffet (all-you-can-eat) Japanese cuisine. Nice food, cosy ambience with a family-style concept, service is good, lots of varieties to choose from. The place is a little cramp though but still worth a visit if you love japanese food! Anyway, I attacked my all time favorite, the sashimi platter! Big missy took 2 1/2 bowls of the Chawanmushi!(this girl loves egg) and my hub who doesn't take raw at all ate all the cooked food :)

Below is a list of projects and layouts to share for the Monday's posting. Along with the stack of fabric which I bought on my earlier trip from Ikea, I also grabbed some shadow box frames for my layouts . These sizes are just perfect to store my 9x9 pages! ‘Orange is Nice’ is one of my favorite layout of big missy. For this page, I documented how big missy loved orange when she was 14 mo. Right now, she doesn’t really take oranges but she sure loves some exotic tropical fruits like I do! Mango, mangosteen, lychees, longans, rambutans, etc.. Nope, our family doesn't like durian except for my mil. I can take a wee bit occasionally but it's way NO NO for my hubby. He said durians stink hahaha!

After doing some fabric covers for our passports, I did some patchwork sleeves for my sketchbooks. I have not photograph the rest yet, so here’s a sneakie. I tried something which I wanted to do for my fabric projects - rubber stamping! I have to say the effect is really very very cool and the ink stayed very nicely on the fabric!

And a linen pillow case - inspired by the Simple Quilt book. Lovin' the fall colors.
